Welcome to Holy Rosary. The school emphasises a strong Catholic ethos and Gospel values; it serves the parish community and works with the Sacramental Programme; in 2025 it became a voluntary academy and joined the Emmaus Catholic Academy Trust.

Curriculum Highlights

EYFS Curriculum follows the seven areas of learning with Prime Areas (Personal, Social and Emotional Development; Communication and Language; Physical Development) and Specific Areas (Literacy; Mathematics; Understanding the World; Expressive Arts and Design). Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1/2 curriculum includes Art, Computing, Design and Technology, Geography, History, Maths, MFL, Music, PE, RSHE, Reading, Science, Writing, Religious Education.

For 2025-2026, if there are more applications than places, the following order of priority is applied: Catholic looked after and previously looked after children; Catholic children resident in the parish of Our Lady and St Patrick; Catholic children not resident in the parish for whom Holy Rosary RC Primary is the nearest Catholic school; Other Catholic children; Other looked after and previously looked after children; Catechumens and members of an Eastern Christian Church; Children of other Christian denominations whose membership is evidenced by a minister of religion; Children of other faiths whose membership is evidenced by a religious leader; Any other children.

Financial Information

Nursery offers Full Time and Part Time places. Children aged 3–4 may access up to 15 hours of free nursery education per week for 38 weeks; some may be eligible for 30 hours of free nursery education. For full-time places, the additional childcare cost is £50.00 per week. Part-time hours are 8.45am–11.45am. Full-time hours are 8.45am–3.15pm. School meals currently cost £14.50 per week. Admission to Holy Rosary Nursery does not guarantee a place in Reception.
