Religious Education (RE) is part of the curriculum, with aims to develop students’ knowledge of religion and culture, provide understanding of the fundamental British Values of tolerance and mutual respect, give opportunities to reflect on personal beliefs and others’ beliefs, develop curiosity and ethical thinking, and promote a sense of belonging. Parents can request withdrawal from RE by writing to the Headteacher.
Welcome from the Headteacher emphasizes understanding every pupil as an individual, developing social and personal skills alongside academic learning, a bright inviting environment, strong relationships, and inviting families to arrange visits to Camberwell Park.
Camberwell Park is a primary specialist support school for children aged 3–11 with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Admissions are controlled by Manchester Local Education Authority and normally require an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP). Admissions cannot take place without consultations with the local authority via the SEN Department of Manchester LA.
