Admissions Criteria

Admission limits are normally based on classes of 30 pupils. Deykin Avenue JI School follows Birmingham Local Authority Guidance on Admissions with priorities in the following order: Looked after children; any child with a statement of SEN named for admission; children with an older brother or sister already at the school; children who live nearest to the school. In areas with a catchment, priority may be given to those within the catchment. Admissions to a nursery school or nursery class does not give the child an extra right to transfer to the reception year.
