Acorns Enhanced Provision is a school-funded, specialist provision for pupils with EHCPs or on this pathway. It offers a safe, structured, nurturing environment within the mainstream school, with two learning pathways: Embrace (early development, sensory, early communication) and Inspire (increasing independence and access to parts of the National Curriculum). Four key learning areas are Communication and Interaction, Cognitive Development, Wellbeing, and Independence. Progress is regularly assessed using Cherry Garden Maps and the SCERTS Framework to tailor targets and support inclusive learning.
Oversubscription criteria include: looked-after children or those at risk; children with Education, Health and Care Plans and those with exceptional SEN reasons; exceptional medical/social/welfare reasons; siblings in attendance; and those living nearest to the school (straight-line distance).
Wraparound care fees: Breakfast Club £3 per day; After School Club £6.50 per day. For 30 hours extended entitlement, eligible families may pay £5.00 per day for extended hours and meals (£2.00 per meal). If eligible for free meals or bringing a packed lunch, extended hours cost may be reduced (£3.00 per day).
