Laura Dickinson, Headteacher, welcomes families and highlights high expectations, dedication to meeting the needs of autistic pupils, and openness to meet new families.
In-house Clinical Team provides care and therapy to benefit the children, including psychologists, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and psychotherapists. The school operates Trauma Informed Practice (TIP) and Neurodiversity (AAD) strategies within Options Autism to support autistic individuals, with a focus on creating a safe, caring, nurturing community, high expectations and collaborative relationships across staff and pupils.
Hazel Cottage School accepts referrals for children aged 4–11 years who will have an Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and will have a primary diagnosis of autism (ASC), or associated traits. May have additional needs including sensory processing and speech, language and communication.
