Admissions for Brentnall Academy are managed by Salford City Council. Nursery places have priority for Salford residents. The criteria for oversubscription include Looked after children and previously looked after children, Children in need (with appropriate professional evidence), Medical reasons (with medical form considered by a medical panel), Older brother or sister at the school, and children living nearest to the school (distance measured straight-line). There is no automatic transfer from nursery to reception; if more applications than places, distance to school determines allocation. Waiting lists follow Salford local authority criteria and fair access protocols take precedence over waiting lists.
