Curriculum Highlights

All students study A Level Maths and Further Maths, and at least one of Physics or Chemistry. A fourth A Level can be studied at Woodhouse College, subject to spaces and Woodhouse’s entry requirements. The curriculum extends beyond A Levels through enrichment opportunities in mathematics and science, including mentoring by Imperial academics, problem-solving classes, and short courses on coding, engineering, and areas of maths and physics outside the A Level curriculum. Imperial Maths School runs a programme of super-curricular activities such as Masterclasses and guest lectures in diverse areas (coding, engineering, astrophysics, logic and set theory, philosophy of mathematics). Students also participate in problem solving classes, group research projects, and research projects with mentoring, with opportunities for individual projects in year 13 for some students.

Admissions Criteria

Selected applicants will be invited to sit an admissions test and an interview before being offered a place at Imperial Maths School. If you meet the conditions of your offer, then you will be able to enrol at Imperial Maths School on GCSE results day. You can find out more about admissions, including the full admissions policy, on the Admissions page.
