Ethos & Values

"Dream Big! Believe, Aspire, Achieve"

To create a happy, engaging, stimulating and safe learning environment where we encourage all pupils to succeed together. To provide diverse learning opportunities where all children are encouraged to question, challenge themselves and think creatively. To ensure that pupils respect and value the beliefs and cultures of others; recognising themselves as members of the school and of the wider community. To promote an active and healthy lifestyle. To develop children’s self-confidence and emotional wellbeing for all.

Carrwood Primary School follows the Discovery RE syllabus which ensures that all children learn about the main religions and teaches respect and understanding for the cultures, beliefs, opinions and traditions of others. We use opportunities such as the Olympics and current news and events from around the world to help the children study and learn about life and cultures in different countries.

Head Teacher's Message

Miss Malt, Headteacher, describes Carrwood as part of the Leading Learners Multi Academy Trust, highlighting the Dream Big motto and the school’s aim to develop independent, motivated, confident learners. The message notes an inclusive environment, strong partnership with parents and the community, and the Willow Class resourced provision for autism, inviting families to contact the school for more information.
