Following statutory assessment of need an initial statement/EHCP is made and a school will be identified as suitable to meet the objectives identified. Transfer to Mary Elliot Academy can occur at any age starting from the term in which the child enters Key Stage 3 (Year 7). The school encourages visits by the pupil, parents and carers to familiarise them with the surroundings, and transport arrangements are via the SEN team.
