The Headteacher, Mrs Tania Wood, states the curriculum is designed to inspire awe, challenge thinking and reflect pupils’ needs, rooted in school values and aimed at fostering collaboration, resilience and responsibility.

Facilities

ASD Resource Base hall kitchen

SEND Provision

Autism Resource Base opened in October 2014 to support the needs of a small group of children with an EHCP and a diagnosis of Autism. Pupils in the Resource Base follow an adapted National Curriculum and lessons are taught at pupils’ pace in small groups with a higher ratio of adult support. Entry criteria include: the child must have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and a formal diagnosis of autism; the child should be able to access the mainstream school and do some integration with mainstream pupils; the admittance must be compatible with the current Resource Base cohort.

Admissions Criteria

Reception places are offered for Birmingham by the Local Authority. Children can start school (Reception) in the September after their 4th birthday. Open Days are arranged each October/November. For transferring from another school, an In-Year School Admission Form and proofs of date of birth and address are required. Waiting lists may apply. Further information available from Birmingham City Council School Admissions.
