Head Teacher's Message

The Headteacher welcome (Ryan Lewis) emphasizes Knowleswood as a safe, happy, and ambitious place where children learn in a high-quality, creative, and challenging environment. It highlights strong partnerships with families and the wider community and invites prospective and current families to engage with the school to see Knowleswood in action.

SEND Provision

Knowleswood has a SENDCO and provides a comprehensive SEND approach. Interventions include Phonics catch up via 1:1 RWI, Maths catch up interventions, Reading/Writing interventions, 1:1 regular reading, and individualised reading/writing interventions. The school offers speech therapy programmes and wellbeing support, with access to external services such as Speech and Language Therapy, Educational Psychology Service, Bradford Sensory and Physical Impairment Team, CAMHS, and other agencies as needed. There are three review meetings per year to monitor progress, and parents/carers are encouraged to be involved. The SENDCO supports classroom staff with advice, monitoring, and liaising with outside agencies, and there is a focus on shared planning and targeted interventions to meet each child’s needs.

Admissions Criteria

Admissions are processed by the Local Authority Admissions Team (Bradford Council). Nursery admissions are arranged by the school.
