Neil Jones, Headteacher, welcomes you to Pathways School and describes Pathways as providing a creative, individualized learning journey that blends autism/SEND education, therapy, and therapeutic support, underpinned by Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).

Curriculum Highlights

Pathways2Independence (P2I) curriculum P2I is mapped against each pupil’s ILP and BSP and aligned with the Independent School Standards (ISS) curriculum areas (Literacy, Maths, Science, Arts, Technology, Humanities, P.E, and PSHE) Progress through P2I can lead to ASDAN and AQA Award Unit Certificates as well as Foundation GCSEs Physical Education is a critical part of the curriculum with weekly physical activity/sports sessions delivered using PBS support strategies Assessments informing ILP targets include ABLLS-R, VB-MAPP, PEAK, AFLS and EFL ILPs and BSPs are discussed with parents and progress is reviewed annually and at EHCP annual reviews.

Admissions Criteria

Between the ages of 11 and 19 years; have a diagnosis of autism; have a moderate to severe learning disability (with or without a diagnosis of autism); have an EHCP or be in the process of obtaining one; live within 75 minutes travel distance.

Financial Information

The fees are normally covered by relevant local authorities. Pupils may also be privately funded in the case of overseas students or those waiting for the EHCP to be finalised.
