Admissions Criteria

In September 2025 Bishopthorpe Infant School became part of Yorkshire Learning Trust and is admissions authority via YLT. The Published Admission Number (PAN) for September 2025 and September 2026 is 30 places. Applications are processed by City of York Council. For Reception starting September 2026, applications opened 12 September 2025 and should be submitted by 12 January 2026; National Offer Day is 16 April 2026 (or next working day). Applications can be made online via the local authority; paper Primary Application Form can be requested by calling 01904 551 554. Key admission documents include the Guide for Parents applying for a school place and the Guide to School Catchment Areas. In-year admissions are coordinated by City of York Admissions.
