Admissions Criteria

Reception applications are handled by Cheshire East Council (contact 0300 123 5012). In-year applications can be made to the school when places are available. If there are more applications than places, the published over-subscription criteria will be applied. Applicants are informed of the outcome within 15 school days (aiming for 10). There is a right of appeal to an independent panel if the application is unsuccessful. For baptised Catholics or those with a parent worshipping at St Barnabas or who are regular worshippers in the Church of England, a supplementary information form evidencing faith criteria must be completed.
