Admissions Criteria

The school notes admissions information for Reception, including that all Reception places are full-time. Priorities for Admission to Reception include Children Looked After by the local authority (including adopted children who were previously looked after and children who leave care under a special guardianship or residence order), strong medical or social reason to attend the school, children living within the catchment area with a sibling attending the school (including the school of a separate infants and junior schools) and who will continue to do so, children whose parent is a member of staff employed at the school for two or more years at the time of an application and/or children of a member of staff recruited to fill a vacancy for which there is a demonstrable skill shortage, children who live within the catchment area and for whom Cyril Jackson is their nearest community school, other children from within the catchment area, children living outside the catchment area with a sibling at the school, and children living outside the catchment area with no sibling. In-Year Admissions are managed by Tower Hamlets and applications use provided forms rather than submitting to the school. Applicants are directed to the Tower Hamlets admissions portal and related procedures. All Reception places are full-time.
