Curriculum is described as the ‘Gateway to the Future’ and is sequenced and coherent, building learning from lesson to lesson and revisiting to ensure learning sticks. Ambitious curriculum aimed at helping children be ready to learn about the world, achieve high standards, and reach their full potential. Emphasis on resilience and continual learning, with a focus on kindness in words and actions.

SEND Provision

The SEND provision includes technology to support dyslexic learners (e.g. Nessy, reader pens, iPad apps, voice-to-text software, access to computers, dyslexia-friendly books); targeted interventions (Switch-on reading, Precision Teaching, Colourful Semantics) delivered by highly trained staff in small groups or 1:1; high-quality, engaging learning with differentiation; inclusive classroom environments with visual timetables and Widgit-supported visuals; whole-school wellbeing strategies (emotion ladder, relaxation activities, movement breaks, worry monsters); personalised resources (fiddle toys, play dough, weighted toys, pencil grips); an ELSA Den with Emotional Literacy Support Assistants (ELSAs) and access to ELSA-led support; SEN Information Report 2023-2024 is available.
