Rainford CE School is a popular and successful church school; as part of the Liverpool Diocesan Schools Trust (LDST), it emphasises a Christian vision and values, offers a high-quality, inclusive curriculum (GROW), and a wide range of opportunities beyond the classroom, including extra-curricular clubs, educational visits and overnight residentials. The school aims to prepare children socially, spiritually and academically, guided by Christian values of joy, peace, friendship, forgiveness, perseverance, justice and love.
Clubs
Breakfast Club opens from 7:30am–8:50am with cereals and toast available; After School Club runs from the end of the school day until 6:00pm; children booked into Treehouse are escorted there by their class teachers, signed in to the register on entry, and provided with a range of afternoon snacks and indoor/outdoor activities.
Rainford Church of England Primary School is a Church of England primary school. Admissions arrangements are determined by the Governing Body in consultation with the Diocesan Board of Education, the Local Authority and other admission authorities in the relevant area. The Admission Number for the 2026 reception year intake is 30. Applications for reception in September 2026 should be made via the home Local Authority common application form by 15 January 2026; decisions are issued on 16 April 2026. All in-year admissions follow the Local Authority’s in-year coordinated admission scheme. Appeals are handled according to the St Helens appeals timetable by Independent Appeals Panel.
