All pupils have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Staff are trained in TEACCH, intensive interaction and Makaton. The school has access to an Occupational Therapist and the school nurse, and works closely with other professionals and parents to provide provision. Pupils are baseline assessed on entry using the Get Real curriculum. Targets are reviewed termly through EHCP reviews and regular parent meetings; there is a Home School diary and regular home/school communication via Class Dojo.

Admissions Criteria

Admissions are via Local Authority placement requests. Local Authorities commission places and admissions follow the Special Educational Needs Code of Practice. The school cannot offer places outside the Code or LA referral process. All pupils have EHCPs. Visits prior to admission are encouraged to ensure the placement meets the child’s needs.
