"Love, Care and Share"
Catholic ethos is central to the life of the school. The practice of the Roman Catholic faith is fundamental to worship and assembly, the content of RE lessons, spiritual and moral development, and is the anchor of the school. Mass is celebrated in school and in parish, liturgies feature throughout the year, and there are Faith Leaders who help lead acts of worship. The school teaches about various faiths and celebrates differences, and it connects with parish life (Our Lady and St Joseph’s Aire Valley parish). Catholic Social Teaching is incorporated into the curriculum, linking virtues, SCARF lessons, RE lessons and RSE lessons to CST, and CAFOD CST resources are used to support children’s understanding of the principles.
Welcomes pupils and parents and emphasizes a commitment to teaching and learning, developing faith, and moving the school forward. Reaffirms the mission: Learning with Jesus, to be the best we can be, and the motto of love, care and share.
Admissions criteria prioritise Catholic admissions. The school provides information about a defined parish boundary, a Supplementary Information Form (SIF), and admission policies. In 2026–27 there are Admissions Policies and SIF documents available (e.g., 2026-27 Admissions Policy and 2026-27 Supplementary Information Form). The online Bradford admissions system is used for applications, with in-year admissions handled through the school and SIF submission by specified dates. A boundary map is provided (bingley-st-joseph---school-boundary-map).
