Curriculum Highlights

Three distinct pathways: Eastgate, Northgate and Watergate. Underpinned by autism-specific curriculum based on the Autism Education Trust’s Pupil Progression Framework. Eight key areas: Communication and Interaction; Social Understanding and Relationships; Sensory Processing; Interests, Routines, and Processing; Emotional Understanding and Self-Awareness; Learning and Engagement; Healthy Living; Independence and Community Participation. SCERTS Model guidance for learning across the curriculum.

Admissions Criteria

Aged between 6 and 18 years. Will have an educational health and care plan. Will have a primary diagnosis of autism (ASC), or associated traits. May have additional needs including; sensory processing, speech, language and communication, social, emotional and mental heath, anxiety, pathological demand avoidance, emotional based school avoidance, severe and/or moderate learning difficulties and/or specific learning difficulties such as Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and Dyscalculia.
