Ethos & Values

"Living, loving, learning-Christ at the centre"

Living, Loving, Learning – Christ at the Centre

Prayer is central to everything we do. We shape our day around daily prayer, liturgy and whole-school worship. Liturgy is our shared act of worship, with whole-school Masses, Celebrations of the Word, and class/year group liturgies led by pupils and staff. Our prayer life follows the Liturgical Year (Advent, Christmas, Lent, Holy Week, Easter) and includes Creative Prayer and quiet reflection. Religious Education is the core of the curriculum and is taught using the Come and See programme as recommended by the Diocese. Sacramental preparation is available (First Communion and Reconciliation) in coordination with parish programmes; Baptism is also mentioned as a possibility. Our school serves two parishes (Our Lady Queen of Martyrs and English Martyrs), and parish life and a parish foodbank are integrated into school life.

Head Teacher's Message
