Headteacher Mr Toby Miller welcomes visitors and describes St Peter’s as a caring, high-expectation Catholic community with strong facilities and a commitment to both academic and personal development.
The Learning Support Department provides support in the four main areas of need: Communication and Interaction; Cognition and Learning; Social and Emotional Mental Health; Physical and Sensory. A Graduated Approach of Plan, Do, Assess, Review is implemented. Universal high-quality teaching is complemented by targeted interventions in small groups or one-to-one, with referrals to outside agencies when needed. Progress is regularly monitored through data and reports.
St Peter’s does not operate a catchment area; admits students from Year 7 through Sixth Form; while many students transfer from feeder primary schools, an abundance of students travel from other areas to attend.
