Welcome to Oldfield Primary School and Nursery. We are part of the Brontë Academy Trust with Oakworth, Haworth and Lees. The school is described as the smallest in Bradford with small class sizes and highly trained staff. Reading is central to the curriculum, and pupils benefit from specialist PE and forest schools. Nursery places are available (30 hour full-time and 15 hour options). Headteacher James Travers emphasises a family ethos and the opportunities provided by being part of a larger trust.
Breakfast Club runs 7:30am–8:45am with breakfast included. After School Club runs during term time, Monday–Thursday from 3:20pm to 5:00pm, with costings available from the office.
Nursery admissions: children can start Nursery from age 3; offers 15 and 30 hour Nursery places; the 30 hour place is full time from 8:45am to 3:15pm; a before/after school club is available for longer hours. Reception admissions are managed centrally by Bradford Admissions; the application window opens 17 November 2025; National Offer Day is 16 April 2026; deadline 15 January 2026; in-year transfers can be made online via Bradford Council.
