Head Teacher's Message

Headteacher Mrs Louise Dance introduces Badbury Park Primary School as part of the Blue Kite Academy Trust, opened in 2019 with a temporary site and moving to a new building in 2021. The message emphasizes developing the whole child through the 4 B’s (Be adventurous, Be ambitious, Be curious, Be kind) and the motto ‘curious not furious,’ with a strong focus on outdoor learning and Forest School.

Curriculum Highlights

Creative and inspiring curriculum designed to promote cooperation, collaboration, reasoning and resilience, with the enhancement of outdoor learning. Outdoor learning and Forest School are integral parts of the curriculum. Subject progressions and skills progressions are provided for Foundation Stage through Year 6 (Curriculum and Vision Section).

Wraparound Care

Nursery wraparound options include a Morning Session 8:30am-11:30am and an optional Stay & Play session on Friday 11:30am-3:15pm (£20 per session). There is 30-hour funding for 3/4 year olds (with conditions) and additional sessions available at £20 per session (3 hours). Cooked school meals are available at £2.40 per child. 3/4 year old funding includes 15 hours by term after third birthday plus potential 15 hours top-up if eligibility criteria are met.

SEND Provision

Badbury Park Primary School provides SEND/Inclusion support with an Inclusion Team and works with the Blue Kite Academy Trust SEND team. Oversubscription Criteria: 1) A looked-after child or a previously looked-after child; 2) Any child with a sibling attending Badbury Park Primary School at the time of admission; 3) Children living within the school’s catchment area; 4) Children outside the catchment area. Priority by straight-line distance; if equal, random allocation. PAN (Published Admission Number) for Reception is 60. Other details cover Looked After/SEN status, etc.
