Welcome to Pakefield High School. We are the newest secondary school in Lowestoft, opened in September 2011, with modern facilities, excellent equipment and dedicated staff. Our core values are Connect, Achieve and Nurture, guiding students to be confident, respectful and high-achieving learners.

Curriculum Highlights

Key Stage 3 is a broad and balanced curriculum based on the National Curriculum. Key Stage 4 comprises a compulsory core of subjects with a wide range of optional subjects.

SEND Provision

Pakefield High School provides SEND provision including a dedicated SEND team, SENDCo (Dr Tuck) with national SEND coordination qualifications, and uses Pupil Passports for provision changes. The school engages with external agencies (e.g., Speech and Language, Educational Psychology, CAMHS, EWO, SALT, County Inclusion Support Service, Looked After Children Educational Service) as part of its SEND arrangements. Transition liaison with primary schools is described, and there are annual reviews/meetings for Educational Health Care plans and SEND drop-in events. The school has transition arrangements for SEND and employment of a dedicated SEND team to support students and families.
