"Connect, Achieve and Nurture"
Welcome to Pakefield High School. We are the newest secondary school in Lowestoft, opened in September 2011, with modern facilities, excellent equipment and dedicated staff. Our core values are Connect, Achieve and Nurture, guiding students to be confident, respectful and high-achieving learners.
Pakefield High School provides SEND provision including a dedicated SEND team, SENDCo (Dr Tuck) with national SEND coordination qualifications, and uses Pupil Passports for provision changes. The school engages with external agencies (e.g., Speech and Language, Educational Psychology, CAMHS, EWO, SALT, County Inclusion Support Service, Looked After Children Educational Service) as part of its SEND arrangements. Transition liaison with primary schools is described, and there are annual reviews/meetings for Educational Health Care plans and SEND drop-in events. The school has transition arrangements for SEND and employment of a dedicated SEND team to support students and families.
Admissions information is online via Suffolk County Council. For the 2026-2027 academic year, admission arrangements can be read online. In-Year Admissions are available via an application form, and there is an appeals process with the Chair of Governors ([email protected]). The school provides information on how to appeal and the process for online applications or requesting a guide from Suffolk Admissions by calling 0345 600 0981 or 01473 260992.
