Year 7 admissions follow The Friary School’s annual Admissions Policy (which can be viewed in the Policies section of the website). The policy largely follows the directions set by Staffordshire County Council, and the Staffordshire County Council’s Admissions Team runs the application and appeals process in accordance with that policy. The Sixth Form admissions criteria (as described for the following September) include: application received before the new academic year starts, meeting our main school admissions policy criteria (including the sibling rule for current Friary students), minimum grade requirements (including a Grade 4 in English and Maths) for chosen courses, no significant concerns indicated by references, living within a sustainable commuting distance, and a maximum of 110 places per year group.
