Head Teacher's Message

Mr. Williams (Headteacher) welcomes visitors to the school website and describes a calm, nurturing, inclusive and stimulating environment where good behaviour and mutual tolerance and respect are modelled, and where every pupil is valued and included. He emphasises that the goal is for pupils to feel safe and happy, develop a strong moral compass, be confident, and achieve their academic potential.

OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) school Forest School on site with on-site woodland; all year groups spend half a day per fortnight at Forest School Read Write Inc phonics in EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2 Specialist Art Studio with dedicated Art teacher and regular parental workshops for Reception Cross-curricular learning in the afternoons with themes (e.g., Romans) No Outsiders programme promoting equality and inclusion Foundation subjects including art, design and technology, RE, MFL (KS2), computing, and physical education

Wraparound Care

Breakfast Club: Yes After-School Care: Yes

Wraparound care runs 7:35am–8:30am (Breakfast Club) and 3:30pm–5:30pm (After School Care). Bookings are via Arbor and paid at least the day before session. Breakfast Club has 40 spaces; After School Care has 20 spaces. Breakfast Club costs £2.50; After School Care costs £5.00. The service is run by two Colmers Farm staff. Nut-free snacks are allowed. Children attending clubs may be collected when finished; if parents wish to provide snacks they are welcome to, provided they are nut-free. Bookings and queries via the school office.

Admissions Criteria

Colmers Farm Primary School admits up to 60 children in September into the Early Years Foundation Stage; admission is non-selective and follows Local Authority guidelines.
