Wraparound Care

Breakfast Club: Yes After-School Care: Yes

Wraparound Provision We offer Breakfast and after school provision for our pupils should parents need it. We are open 5 days a week with breakfast club starting at 7:30am every day. After school our wraparound provision runs from 3:15pm till 6pm Monday to Thursday and till 5:15pm on Friday. During the sessions the adults ensure they have breakfast or a snack as well as take part in activities and games. Parents can book regular slots and also on an ad-hoc basis by contacting the school office (subject to availability of open spaces on the day)

SEND Provision

Anston Hillcrest follows the Department for Education’s SEND Code of Practice (2014). We ensure that children with SEND are identified early, with personalised support plans developed and implemented to meet their needs. The level of support depends on each child’s individual situation, whether it is a learning difficulty, emotional or behavioural need, or sensory impairment. All children receiving additional support have individualised targets documented in a support plan. Our SENCO, Mrs. V Divit, works closely with class teachers and parents to ensure each child has access to a broad, balanced curriculum. The school also maintains strong partnerships with external agencies, including Educational Psychologists, Autism specialists, Speech and Language Therapists, Health Services, and the Learning Support Service, who assist during assessment and intervention stages.

Admissions Criteria

All applications to our school must be made through Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council, Children and Young People’s Services by 15 January 2026. Nursery places are allocated according to the Rotherham schools’ admissions criteria. The Foundation Stage 1 (Nursery) is part-time with term-time sessions, and pupils’ offers are communicated via the RMBC process; late applications may affect admission likelihood. For more information, contact the school or RMBC Admissions at 01709 823777.
