Headteacher Mr T. Hinkley welcomes families to Woodthorne, emphasising the CARE values (Courage, Ambition, Respect, Excellence) and the school’s commitment to embedding curriculum principles, restorative relationships, music and sports opportunities, and extensive extracurricular activities, with an open-door policy for prospective families.
Breakfast Club runs from 7.30am until the start of the school day during term time. A daily charge of £4.00 per session. After School Club runs from 3:10pm until 6:00pm on weekdays during term time. A daily charge of £6.50 per day regardless of arrival time, with an additional charge of £6.50 if collected after 6:00pm. During Holiday Club, parents are required to provide their child with a packed lunch each day. The school also has access to facilities such as a computer suite, a large Connect Four, a “quiet” area, the library, Lynn’s Garden and outdoor activities, dependent upon the weather.

Nursery places are offered as a mix of morning 15-hour, afternoon 15-hour and full-time places with a maximum class size of 30. Breakfast and after-school club are available for Nursery at a small additional cost, and all applicants are requested to contact the school to view provision before applying. In-year admissions follow Wolverhampton Local Authority procedures (entry to school other than Reception); inquiries for Reception or other year groups should be made to Wolverhampton LA at www.wolverhampton.gov.uk/admissions.
