Breakfast Club: Yes After-School Care: Yes

Before school: gates open at 8:25am; Blackthorn Brekkie Club operates from 8:00–8:25am with breakfast and supervised activities. After school: staff supervise and take children to after-school clubs and dismiss them to a responsible adult at the end of the club. Year 5–6 pupils may walk home only with signed consent. The school notes it is not responsible for supervision outside club times.

Admissions Criteria

Admissions priority (in order): Looked After Children and Previously Looked After Children; Siblings; Children of school staff; Children who live nearer to the school than any other publicly funded state school with an equivalent year group; Other children. If oversubscribed within a criterion, priority goes to those who live closest to the school; late applications are dealt with by the local authority.

Financial Information

School meals: Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 meals are free. Meals for other year groups cost £2.79 per day. Free School Meals eligibility may apply for other year groups if eligible. Online ordering via School Grid is required for paid meals.
