The school focuses on developing motivated, resilient learners who can transfer skills beyond school. Curriculum Highlights

Bickley is a Thinking School and aims to enable children to become active participants in their learning with the goal of becoming more independent and resilient. Key learning skills developed include resilience, curiosity, collaboration and communication, reflection, creativity and imagination, and the ability to take safe risks. Outdoor Learning and Caring for the Environment are key features of every topic, led by Eco Warriors. The National Curriculum is taught across core subjects (Maths, English, Science, etc.) with subject-specific programmes of study and delivery. The school emphasises metacognitive learning strategies and real/purposeful contexts for learning.

The published admissions number is 60 (maximum of 30 in each class). Admissions criteria (in order) are: Looked after children; Acute medical or social needs; Sibling (children with a brother or sister already at Bickley Primary School); Children of members of staff; Proximity of home in relation to the school. In-year admissions are coordinated by the Local Authority. Applications for in-year admissions should be made in writing to the Local Authority.
