Welcome from the principal, Mr Simon Gilbert-Barnham, describing Flegg High Ormiston Academy as a proud, ambitious and rapidly improving school at the heart of the local community. The message outlines a vision of world-class education built on Kindness, Aspiration and Respect, and explains the Aspire/Create/Innovate ethos and the partnership with Venture Academy to deliver high standards, inclusion and opportunities for enrichment.
Before school Enrichment and Breakfast club 8:00–8:30; After school Enrichment 3:00–3:45; Academy open 8:00–3:45; 32 hours 30 minutes core timetable with enrichment totaling 38 hours per week.
Secondary admission spaces: 180 per year group. Applications for 2026 begin September 2025 and must use the local authority’s common application form (CAF) submitted to the LA by 31 October. The academy participates in the LA’s Fair Access Protocol. The waiting list for Year 7 is maintained until 31 December each year. In-year admissions are processed case-by-case.
