Curriculum Highlights

Curriculum KS3 is rooted in the national curriculum with Years 7-9. There is no rotation of subjects and KS3 lasts for Years 7 to 9. KS3 includes five one-hour lessons per day (25 per week) and a two-week timetable (Week A and Week B). KS4: pupils take 9 GCSEs; EBacc combination is strongly guided/encouraged. Assessment: KS3 uses 'steps'; KS4 uses GCSE grades 9-1 and Technical Awards; Post-16 uses A Level grades A*-E and Technical Awards. The curriculum is complemented by enrichment activities and educational visits; three reports are sent to parents per year.
