Christ Church C of E Primary School works in close partnership with our parish church, Christ Church, Weston-Super-Mare. We collaborate in collective worship at school and in areas of our RE curriculum. Although we are church-based, we are not church-biased. We seek to include and celebrate all faiths found in our diverse town.

Knowledge-rich curriculum encompasses the National Curriculum and its Programmes of Study Reading is at the heart of the curriculum with a focus on reading for pleasure Use of published schemes: Teach Computing, Charanga for music, Complete P.E and Jigsaw PSHE Curriculum design emphasises progression of knowledge and skills with links between subjects; outdoor/community learning Rosenshine’s Principles of Instruction and Walkthrus coaching model used to deliver lessons

Admissions Criteria

Oversubscription criteria (in priority): 1) Children in care at the time of application or previously looked after who ceased to be so because of adoption or special guardianship; 2) Children with a brother or sister attending the school at the time of admission; 3) Children who attend or their parents attend a Christ Church Sunday Service at least once per month for 12 months, with a signed recommendation from the Vicar and Family Ministry Worker; 4) Children living closest to the school.
