Dunnington Church of England Primary School is a Church of England school with strong links with the parish of St Nicholas; clergy from the Church of England and other denominations regularly visit our school. We hold daily acts of Collective Worship which are distinctly Christian in nature, whilst also celebrating and embracing other major world faiths.

Since September 2025 the school is part of the Yorkshire Learning Trust and YLT is the admissions authority. PAN for September 2025 and 2026 is 30. Admissions are processed by the Local Authority; current and next year’s admissions policies are on the Policies page. Birth windows: for entry in September 2026, children must be born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022; applications for birth window 1 Sep 2022–31 Aug 2023 open Autumn 2026.
