Welcome to Hob Moor Oaks Academy. We would like to warmly welcome you to the Hob Moor Oaks Academy. We provide specialist education for pupils aged 2-11 years. We aim to give our children the best possible start to their learning journey. Our school provides an engaging and creative learning environment where every child is celebrated. We achieve this by nurturing excellent relationships between staff and children and ensure our relationships with parents compliment our open door policy. We work with a range of professionals, to ensure we work together to enable our pupils to communicate effectively, develop socially and emotionally and gain independence skills. Our team of happy and talented staff work together to continuously develop their knowledge and expertise to provide the very best education for our children. We use a range of methods to engage and motivate our learners through an exciting thematic curriculum to help them be active and successful learners. We are a member of Ebor Academy Trust and share our wonderful school building with Hob Moor Primary Academy.

SEND Provision

All Ebor Academy Trust schools have a similar approach to meeting the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and are supported by the local authority (LA) to ensure that all pupils, regardless of their specific needs, make the best possible progress in school.

Admissions Criteria

All children attending Hob Moor Oaks Academy have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), which is reviewed annually. Pupils are usually admitted at the start of the academic year in September however some admissions may take place during an academic year. There is an appeal process for families who make an unsuccessful bid for a place at the school. Admissions to the school are controlled by the Local Authority.
