Oversubscription Criteria: 1 Looked after children and children who were previously looked after but immediately after being looked after became subject to adoption, a child arrangements order, or special guardianship order. 2 Children who will have a brother or sister continuing at the school at the time of admission. 3 Children of staff. 4 Children who live closer to Bracken Leas Primary School than any other school. 5 Children who are eligible for Pupil Premium and/or Service Premium. 6 Other children. Tie-break: where necessary to choose between two or more applicants within criteria 2-6, the tiebreaker will be distance, with the nearest child to Bracken Leas having priority; if equidistant, random allocation supervised independently. Deferred Entry for Infants: admitted in September following their 4th birthday; parents may defer or take part-time; Places cannot be deferred beyond the beginning of the final term of the offer year. Admission outside normal age group: written request to Headteacher; decision based on individual circumstances. Waiting Lists: maintained for each year group until 30 June; allocations follow oversubscription criteria. Appeals: right of appeal to independent panel coordinated by Local Authority Appeals Team.
