"Where Bright Futures Begin"
Welcome to Canterbury Cross Primary School. We are a happy, friendly and caring school where children, staff, parents and carers work together to achieve the best outcomes for all pupils. Our school values of SHARE (Safety, Health and Happiness, Achievement, Respect and Equality) and CRISP (Conduct, Respect, Independence, Selflessness and Perseverance) are how we support pupils to excel.
Sports
The school provides Quality First Teaching, targeted interventions and small group sessions; specialist input from outside agencies (Pupil Support Service (PSS), Educational Psychologist (EP), Speech and Language Therapy (SALT), Communication and Autism Team (CAT)) as needed; in some cases an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) may be used and a statutory assessment may be carried out; reviews are held three times a year with targets reviewed and updated.
Admission priority is in this order: 1) Looked after or previously looked after children; 2) Children who have a brother or sister already at the academy; 3) Children living nearest to the academy (straight-line distance). Children with an Education Health and Care Plan have priority for admission to the named academy; distance is measured as a straight-line distance from home to the school entrance.
