St Ethelbert’s is a Catholic Primary School and Nursery; Christ is central to our school life. Pupils’ spiritual and emotional wellbeing is developed through our RE teaching, Chaplaincy provision and close links with the Holy Redeemer church. Our Catholic Social Teaching Principles link faith to the pupils’ learning in all subjects and wider experiences.

St. Ethelbert's has a 10 place specialist Speech and Language Resource Base for pupils with Educational Health Care Plans for speech and language. Four of these places are allocated to Early Years pupils. The Resource base is fully inclusive, with pupils receiving support in their mainstream classes for core subjects, and specialist speech and language interventions in the resource. Staff who work in our resource base are the trust Speech and Language Therapist, Miss Jade Lau and our Higher Level Teaching Assistant, Ms Heidi Lau.
St. Ethelbert’s is a Catholic Primary School and Nursery on the Wexham Road with year groups from Reception to Year 6. Within each year group, there are two classes made up of 30 pupils. We also have a nursery setting located on site in which we offer a morning or afternoon session to children who are 3 years old. From September 2025, we will offering 30 hour funded places to those parents who are eligible. Nursery admissions: Initial Application Form for Nursery; 15 hours a week funded; 30 hours a week funded if eligible (30 hours code required) or £6.51 per hour if not eligible. Nursery hours: 8:45am to 11:45am (morning) or 12:45pm to 3:45pm (afternoon); 30 hours a week: 8:45am to 2:45pm; 2:45pm-3:45pm available at £6.51 per day. Reception admissions: register with Slough Borough Council and submit the Initial Application Form to [email protected]. In Year admissions (Year 1-6): complete the Initial Application Form and submit documents; notification within 5 working days. For full details, see the Admissions page.
