Curriculum Highlights

The curriculum fully embraces the National Curriculum and EYFS statutory framework. Three curriculum pathways: Explore, Discover, Connect. Formative assessment and verbal/peer critique (Keep up not Catch up). Engage days and memorable experiences underpin learning; project-based and enquiry-led. Distributive leadership with Curriculum Leaders; focus on vocabulary and independent learning.

SEND Provision

The school uses a graduated response to SEND aligned to the SEND Code of Practise, with four main areas of need: Communication and Interaction; Cognition and Learning; Social, Emotional and Mental Health; and Sensory and/or Physical. The SENDCO is Mrs A Shaw, supported by the SEND Team (including Mrs R Breedon, Ms J Gray, and Mrs A Gibson). The school also offers curriculum pathways for SEND and involves parents/carers in planning support.
