Stirchley Primary School is a one-form entry school with a broad, enriched curriculum designed to help pupils achieve their potential. The Head Teacher is Mr D Clifford. The school emphasises close partnerships with parents and the community to support pupils’ welfare and achievement.
Stirchley follows Birmingham's Education Policy for admissions to Nursery and Reception. Nursery offers part-time provision for 3 year olds (15 hours across three days: 8:45am-3:00pm Monday and Tuesday, 8:45am-12:00pm Wednesday). Nursery admission does not give automatic right to a place in the school's Reception class. Reception places are offered via the Local Authority (Birmingham City Council) for September following the child’s fourth birthday; open days are arranged in November/December with home visits in July. In-year admissions are available by contacting the school. Transfer to secondary is arranged by Birmingham City Council’s website, with examples of secondary destinations listed.
