Curriculum Highlights

Curriculum designed to ensure comprehensive coverage of the National Curriculum and exceed these expectations in each subject. Reading is at the heart of learning; Read Write Inc. used for reading; daily reading of a range of storybooks; half-termly assessments by the RWI leader. Mastery mindset for every subject with high expectations; deeper understanding rather than accelerating to the next year group; curriculum taught as a narrative model across subjects. In-house progression and plans with support from partner federation schools and central subject experts. SMSC and British values are threaded throughout the curriculum; daily assemblies and collective worship are an important part of the school day.
