Ethos & Values

"The best days of their lives"

Virtues to live by

St Joseph's follows The Way the Truth and The Life RE scheme as the Programme of Study for religious education; religious education is described as the foundation of the educational process and other faiths are taught as part of the syllabus within Catholic teaching. Since 2019 the school has followed the Diocese implementation of the Virtues to live by, a collection of virtues taught throughout the term. The school maintains close links with the Church and parish, with liturgies, assemblies and Masses, and a strong emphasis on Catholic character education embedded in school life.

Head Teacher's Message

Executive Headteacher Mr J Devlin describes St Joseph's as a welcoming, inclusive Catholic school with Gospel values at its core, offering a broad, creative curriculum and extended learning opportunities to meet every child's needs; a school of opportunity, inclusion, wonder and faith where the best days of their lives are possible.
