Jason Steele, Proprietor, emphasises a warm, inclusive and trauma-informed approach, with a circle of adults supporting each pupil, safeguarding as a core priority, and a curriculum designed to help pupils learn, grow and engage with education in a safe, caring environment.
Our SEND and Inclusion provision is at the heart of our school. Every student receives personalised support designed to meet their unique strengths and challenges. We combine specialist teaching, therapeutic support and a differentiated curriculum to ensure every student can learn, grow and achieve.
Raise Education & Wellbeing School welcomes referrals for children and young people who: Are aged between 11 (Year 7) and 19 years (Year 12). Have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). In some circumstances, and where capacity allows, we may consider students who are currently undergoing the EHCP process. Have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) identified as their primary area of need. May have additional needs, which can include: Neurodiversity, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and ADHD; Sensory processing differences; Speech, language and communication needs; Anxiety and/or emotionally based school avoidance; Moderate or severe learning difficulties; Specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, or dyscalculia.
