Welcome to Concordia Academy. The headteacher emphasizes an ambitious, dynamic vision for a modern, high-quality education with a focus on respect, hard work and high expectations, innovative teaching, strong professional development, outstanding facilities, and preparing students to prosper in a changing society.
Concordia Academy provides inclusive education with quality first teaching. When needed, teaching is adapted and small intervention groups or 1:1 support are used to help pupils access learning. The school provides emotional wellbeing support delivered by an Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) and may involve external professionals. The Inclusion Team includes a SENDCo, an Assistant SENDCo, a Family Liaison & Inclusion Officer, an ELSA, a Speech and Language Teaching Assistant, and other SEND teaching assistants. Identified pupils receive Pupil Passport/Individual Learning Plans that are reviewed termly, and the school runs inclusion coffee mornings and works with Havering agencies as appropriate to support learning and wellbeing.
