“The behaviour of pupils is outstanding. They are a credit to the school.” Ofsted report 2019. “We wish our young people to aspire and experience opportunities available around the world” — Dan Rosser, Principal
Wootton Park School has a Published Admission Number (PAN) of 60 for entry into Reception and 60 external places for entry into Year 7 (in addition to 60 Year 6 learners in the primary phase). For the 2025 intake, the School will offer 120 external places for Year 7 in addition to the 60 year 6 learners. Oversubscription criteria (in order): (1) children who are looked after or are previously looked after; (2) children who have an older sibling in the same phase who attends the Academy at the date of admission; (3) children of staff of the Academy who have been employed for two or more years (direct employees); (4) distance from the school (up to 60% of remaining places after applying the first three criteria); (5) remaining places offered to other children by random allocation. Definitions include: a 'looked after child' and 'previously looked after' as defined in the admissions policy; 'sibling' includes natural, adopted, step, and foster siblings; 'home address' is where the child spends the majority of the week during term time; 'distance' is straight-line distance between home and school. If the number of applications exceeds the number of places in criteria 1-4, priority goes to those closest to the school; in the case of an unreconcilable tie, random allocation is used and is supervised by an independent person. In-year applications are managed by the Local Authority (West Northamptonshire Council); contact details are provided for school allocations and appeals. The school publishes Admission Policy documents for 2024–2027 with related information.
