St Paul’s Catholic Primary School is served by the parish of St Thomas of Canterbury in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle. The local church is Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary. The school has close links with the parish and our Parish Priest, Fr Adrian Dixon. The school and parish work in close partnership in preparing the children for the first sacraments. Pupils, staff and governors are fully involved in the parish and take an active role in ministries in the Catholic community life of the town.

St. Paul’s is described as a joyful, welcoming and high achieving school with an engaging curriculum and strong PE; it embeds the Thrive Approach for mental health and wellbeing and uses Forest School as part of its enriched curriculum. Headteacher: Sheena Sinclair.

After School Wraparound: 3.15pm - 4.15pm - £4.00; 3.15pm - 5.15pm - £8.00; 3.15pm - 5.30pm - £10.00. If attending Afterschool Sports Club: 4.15pm - 5.15pm - £4.00; 4.15pm - 5.30pm - £6.00. Breakfast/Wraparound Club Enrolment Form and Terms and Conditions available.

SEND Provision

The school works with Alliance Psychological Services’ Mental Health Support Team (MHST) to deliver interventions for mild-to-moderate mental health issues, support the senior mental health lead, and liaise with external services. The Senior Mental Health Lead is Mrs Marie-Louise Peacock; self-referral is available via Alliance Psychology. The provision includes access to CAMHS resources and other mental health supports.

Financial Information
