St Mary’s Catholic Primary School is a Catholic school with an ethos inspired by Jesus Christ. The mission is described as being with Christ as our guide and the vision stresses that the school is inspired by Jesus’ example, nurturing the whole child and engaging with the parish and local community as part of the Our Lady Immaculate Catholic Academies Trust.
Welcome to St Mary’s Catholic Primary School. The Headteacher (Executive Headteacher Mrs K. Yuen) invites visits and emphasises the school's distinctive Catholic ethos, high expectations in teaching and learning, Gospel values, and strong staff with links to the Northamptonshire Schools’ Music Service and Northampton Town Football Club.
Rise and Shine Club is a wrap-around service. Our Breakfast Club is open every school day morning from 07:45am to 8:45am. Our After-School Club is open from 3.15pm to 5.30pm. It is staffed by a member of the school team and is a chargeable service. Once a registration form is completed, spaces can be booked via 'MyChildAtSchool'. Please note there are only limited spaces and bookings need to be made at least 24 hours in advance.
The school has an Inclusion Team with SENCo (Mrs O'Callaghan) and a Family Support Worker. There is a Family Support Worker who helps ensure that all children and families receive necessary support, and the staff include Learning Support Assistants for 1:1 support. The SENCo and Family Support Worker can be contacted through the school.
30 places in Reception Year. In-year applications are considered on an individual basis dependent on available places. Information on admissions can be found on the West Northamptonshire/Northamptonshire admissions site. A Supplementary Information Form is required, and if Catholic or Christian a Parish Priest or Pastor's Reference Form, as well as a Certificate of Catholic Practice. Appeals are possible if a place is not offered.
