Head Teacher's Message

Welcome to Leigh Stationers’ Primary Academy. The principal describes LSPA as a one-form entry school with a family atmosphere, where staff are committed to a friendly and caring environment. The curriculum is creative and engaging, designed to develop confident, independent learners who are respectful and articulate. The school motto is Aspire, Learn, Laugh, Love, and there is a focus on exciting opportunities and enriched learning to prepare pupils to be responsible, internationally minded citizens.

Curriculum Highlights

The Primary Years Programme (PYP) framework is used to deliver the curriculum, informed by the National Curriculum. Six transdisciplinary themes guide the curriculum and enable real-world connections. Curriculum for Life covers PSHE and RSE in an age-appropriate, sequential manner. International-mindedness and language learning are integrated, including weekly Spanish lessons. A strong digital strategy supports learning and technology use. Co-Curriculum and enrichment activities promote pupil voice and social responsibility.

SEND Provision

Leigh Stationers’ Primary Academy recognises SEND and describes its SEND provision as fully inclusive. The SENCo is Mrs Maria Kenway (Working Hours – Monday – Wednesday). The school works with the Local Authority and health professionals to support pupils with SEND and provides targeted interventions and support to help pupils progress. Dyslexia screening is mentioned, with referrals for EHCPs as appropriate. The school emphasises Quality First Teaching and collaboration with parents, and provides information via its SEND Information Report and Policies page.
