Headteacher Joanna Young welcomes visitors with a warm message describing Shavington as an inclusive, friendly and happy school. SEND Provision

The SEND Team at Shavington Primary School identifies pupils’ needs early using an Early Identification Pathway and provides support through a graduated approach. The SENCo is Miss Amy Brock, with support from Deputy SENCo Miss Jill Spencer, SEND Support Assistant Mrs Wendy McCandless, and Resource Provision Manager Mrs Debbie Thomas. The school collaborates with external support agencies where appropriate and maintains policies and documents including SEND Policy, SEN Information Report, and Accessibility Plan.

Admissions Criteria

Reception entry occurs in the September after a child’s fourth birthday. All applications are processed by Cheshire East Council. In-year admissions are also available. There are linked admissions documents and policies (Admissions Policy 2026-27, Admissions Policy 2025-26, Appeals Form) and guidance to apply for September 2026 or for in-year placements.
